My boyfriend and I have been long distance since he joined the army about a year and a half ago. We’ve been together for about three years and we plan on getting married. His last PCS move brought him closer to home, so I can finally see him as much as every weekend. We were dropping some things off at a storage unit near his base since he’s still in processing. Doesn’t really have a barrack yet. He went in the office to have the gate opened and out came a younger woman. Probably around my age and all the sudden felt weird and insecure. She seemed nice, but quiet. I know this is ridiculous, but the feeling just took me over. So I was a little irritable later. He called up his friend to tell him that they pissed her off last time they were there (they’re sharing the storage space) and she had a few words for him. He didn’t say a word to me after he called his friend. So I’m just bothered..and irrationally insecure. He didn’t seem open to talking about it. Please no judgement..it’s just been on my mind and I want to see if any other spouses have felt that irrational irritability and insecure feeling. I don’t know how to bring it up to him that it bothered me without accusing him.
