I use one of those muslin swaddle blankets. Super breathable. However, I find it to be a hassle so I usually just nurse baby in the car if I can and I don't cover at all.

Ive tried. My baby doesnt seem to like it, plus i still need two hands to nurse, so its really difficult to cover up

this time around, I'm just using a light baby blanket. I had a nursing cover with my daughter, and it made us both hot. I just said to hell with it this time. 
I do try to nurse in my car though, with the air going and the sun shades up. but I use a light blanket if I'm anywhere else. also, I get it to where I dont cover his head too much, it's too damn hot for that. poor babys need some air.

Unless I'm going to be fully exposed I dont cover. I wear a tank/nursing top under another shirt so I do the pull up pull down method.
