Copper IUD yes or no?

Tell me about your expierences below! 
I'm super sensitive to hormonal options and I'm on the fence about the IUD

I’ve had it twice both times different symptoms as soon as i hit the one year mark something happens. The first time as soon as i hit the one year mark i started bleeding for a month straight until it was removed. The second time i always bled after sex and would go see my gyn with no real explanation as to why. I also noticed i was very dry down there during sex no matter how turned on i was and sex was very painful as well. I also got my very first episode of BV in my 29 years of life which may or may not have been from the iud. But i had never had one before 🤷🏼‍♀️

I had it for 9 years. Works great. Didn't get pregnant. Periods were bad. Very heavy the whole 9 years and lasted about 7 to 10 days every month. Bad cramps and pms. Had it removed. Periods went back to normal 3 to 5 days and not heavy. 
Would I get it again ? If I had too. I cant take hormones. Would i want it again? No. Some people have a better experince. That was mine. 
Works great for preventing pregnancy.
