planning a wedding after baby, dress shopping

how soon do people shop for wedding gowns? i am due at the end of november 2019, and planning a wedding for the end of march 2020, so hopefully i’ll be recovered enough 4 months postpartum...

thinking of dress shopping closer to the wedding but i’m worried if that is too last minute. and i might have to settle for something i don’t love. i figure it would be a more accurate size then, since i’ll be all different sizes from now until after birth.

also, i want to have a decent lacy probably long sleeved gown. does anybody have recommendations on where to shop frugally for nice wedding gowns?
