So boyfriend & i have been together for 3 years. In love, my kids love him, his son loves me. things are fine. But we’ve never lived together. He lives in a small town about 35 minutes from me & his child lives about 15 minutes the other direction. So about 45-50 minutes from me. they do shared parenting & he says moving will make it too difficult when his son starts school. He works out by where i live as well. I do shared parenting with my kids’ dad who lives about 35 minutes away from me the opposite direction& i honestly have NO idea how it’s gonna work when it comes to school. I would be willing to move where he lives but there are literally NO jobs where he lives that pay good. I would take a 5-6 dollar pay cut on top of it being even farther from my kids dad & my schooling. I’m just lost as to what the end all should be. Does anyone do shared parenting in different counties farther apart with kids in school? What do your visitation schedules weekly look like? Sorry I’m rambling just need some advice 😢
