I was put on an eating programme which cut out sugar. 1 piece of fruit and 6 portions of veg a day, match box size cheese and a small portion of meat/fish to make up 6 small meals per day. I can't remember the meat/fish size and remember having whole meal alternatives for bread and pasta. It seemed a huge amount to eat, but I went from a size 22 to a 12. That's with exercise and increase in water intake. It was an overhaul of how I ate and really is a slow but steady life style change.
