I worked last Tuesday. It was like my second shift ever. I didn’t know where the schedule was or anything. Was never told when to come back. This is my first job and they know this. I guess they expected me to figure it out. But I had no idea how the scheduling worked. I can go more into depth about the 2 shifts I worked if any of you want me to. So I waited maybe 4 days because I thought they were gonna call but they didn’t so I called yesterday and the day before. Actually 2 times the day before. But never got an answer. I left a voicemail asking when my next shift was. Today I get a call at like 8:30 am. I didn’t answer so I got a voicemail. The manager said I missed 6 shifts. Me beyond pissed goes to my mom and tells her what they just said. She tells me to call back, I do. But voicemail again. So they call again and I answer and she’s all like “you’re supposed to look at the schedule yourself and see when you’re supposed to work” and I’m over here like... I wasn’t told where it was so how was I supposed to know? I was in training and you’d think in training they’d tell you where the schedule is but they didn’t I swear. She was talking to me in a condescending tone too. So she told me my next scheduled shift is Thursday at 9 am. I even asked “what time does the shift end” cuz my mom takes me to work so she needs to know. She didn’t tell me when. I’m gonna work my shift and then put my two weeks notice in because I’m not gonna work for people like that who lack in telling me how stuff works and yes I could’ve asked but I’m freakin new. Idk what to ask half the time. I didn’t even know I was being put on the schedule yet. How do I give 2 weeks notice? I need help (I’m gonna be looking for another job first)
