What was the factor that made you decide/decide not to test?

1 MMC (natural pregnancy) that absolutely broke our heart is our deciding factor for doing it. Considering we’re already going through so much with IVF and each transfer is like $3k, we also found it worth it to do the testing and avoid multiple transfers god forbid they weren’t healthy. I know it’s not perfect, but close enough to sell us

For my first IVF we did not test our embryos. We had 3 transfers and all of them failed.
We didn’t test them because I had gotten pregnant on my own and my RE didn’t think it would be necessary.
We started our second IVF at the end of last year and we tested our embryos this time.
Praying this is it!

I’ve had 3 miscarriages. Two of them were missed miscarriages so I had to have a D&C and we tested the tissue. Both were lost due to chromosomal abnormalities. I can only assume the other miscarriage was the same. PGS is the whole reason I’m doing IVF.

We aren’t offered pgs testing in my country, not unless your trying to avoid a specific genetic problem  that runs in your family. It’s $1000 per embryo compared to $2000 per transfer, and we have 9. I so wish that we could have done it, we have had two failed transfers so far, one chemical and one miscarriage at 8 weeks. It worry’s me so much that many of our embryos aren’t viable and we might have to have many more miscarriages before we get a baby 😔
