Sunscreen???

Question

I've heard that you're not supposed to use sunscreen until 6 months. Do any of you ladies use sunscreen on your little ones? My boy is 7 weeks and so fair that I'm afraid he will get burnt even though I try to keep him as covered as possible.
If you do use it, what brands are you using?

My pediatrician told us to use coppertone pure it’s the same as babygentics but you get more for the money. We try to not have him expose to the sun for long periods of time but with it being summer it’s not advoidable. Just talk with your peds doctor.

We are at the beach this week and have used the babyganics sunscreen. I asked her Dr and she said to make sure to use unscented and test out a tiny bit on one of their legs. Make sure they don’t have any kind of reaction and then you can use it on them 😁. I would definitely ask your own pediatrician though.

I’ve taken my lo to the beach and a water park. We kept him in a sun hat and covered or in the shade and haven’t yet needed sunscreen

I wouldn’t use a sunscreen on a baby under 6 months, it can burn there skin. Just try keep baby out the sun, get a shade from the pram, sun hats and keep them in the shade.

My doctor told us to use 100% zinc lotion. I found it at the grocery store. Other lotions can cause burns on your baby's skin. I didn't want to risk it.
