Right after your baby is born and they are wrapped in the standard swaddle and hat do they have any clothes under?

Random question I just thought of.. do they have standard onesies they put them in under that or just diapers or do they dress them in an outfit you are supposed to bring?

They didnt swaddle my son. And they dont. We dress our babies and whatever ourselves. I did skin2skin then the midwife offered to dress my son because I was so weak and hot it was unbelievable. We chose the outfit together and she dressed him. They also dont wash our babies. Just dab them dry with a towel. We wash our babies. I waited until my son was about 8 days old to give him his first wash. I live in the UK so it's all different here.

Once he was born and we had our skin to akin they took him on the other side of my room cleaned him up diapered him and put him in a shirt then swaddled him. I never brought extra clothes for him to wear didn’t think it was necessary he was fine in the shirt.

No just the swaddling blanket, then they take them and wash them up the bull put on a long sleeve onesie that the hospital provides

It's your baby so it's up to you. I personally wanted to pick the fabric touching my newborn's skin so I brought my own clothes/swaddles. Some people say they don't want extra laundry so they use what the hospital provides.

In the beginning it was just a diaper and then these odd shirt things. They stay so swaddled the first couple days that what’s underneath doesn’t matter. I only brought an outfit to take her home in.

They usually just wrap the baby in a swaddle with a diaper. They have shirt type things they give but they never fit right so I would bring your own onsies.
