Ok so my husband is in the military and we are stationed overseas. He gets 3 or 4 day weekends on holidays and since the 4th of July is coming up he is getting the 4th-7th off, since we are in Europe we do like to take trips on these long weekends to take advantage. However I applied for a federal job on base and got the job and am starting this Thursday. Before I even applied and got an interview my husband had booked us a trip for the 4th-7th and now I’m in a pickle because I don’t want to be that person to ask for the day off since the center will be open the 5th 😫 any advice on how to ask to possibly get that day off? I mean it’s really not a huge deal but I figure it wouldn’t hurt to ask
