Ladies, I'm going through miscarriage and have some questions about what to expect.

We went in for our appointment last night and even though baby measured right on time (9w3), there was absolutely no movement. (She had easy to detect, strong heartbeat three weeks ago.) I had absolutely no worrisome symptoms, just normal first trimester stuff.

Doctor said we needed to confirm at a different appointment as per protocol, but they very likely wouldn't see anything else since she was very thorough.

So we went in to the hospital to confirm this morning, they found the exact same thing.

My doctor was in a real hurry (she called us in without an appointment and needed to be in her next consultation) so she could only tell us the very basics about the next steps.

I have to be in the hospital on Friday early morning on empty stomach and they will do the procedure under anesthetics. (Hospital protocol says at this point there are no other options.) Six hours after the procedure is done, I can go home.

How can I prepare? What will happen? I know some about the procedure but not what happens after.
