How long does frozen beef need to thaw for?

It's in the freezer but I was planning on using it tonight to cook dinner with. How long will it take to thaw in the refrigerator?

In the refrigerator it will be thawed by tomorrow. If using it tonight just quick thaw it in the sink with warm water

Depends what cut of meat and how you're cooking it...
I cook ground beef and slow roasts from frozen all the time..  but you can't do that with, like, a steak, or a london broil, etc...
