Wanting to buy a playard with canopy for my son (almost 6 months) that will be good for a couple of years. Anyone have this? How sturdy is it? Is it easy to put together and how compact is it? Does the canopy stay up well or is it flimsy? Thanks!

They’re pretty sturdy, but once your little one is walking, it will be hard to keep him contained. I think around 14 months we had to give in and baby proof the whole house because we couldn’t keep my son locked in one area anymore.

I hated it. Returned it before using. There isn't a bottom. Just a piece of cloth so you need to use it on carpet. Not good for concrete or any hard surface. And yes  they figure out how to get out so fast.

Yes it was a waste of money for me .. my little guy is super active and just cry’s in it because he just wants to get out and play

We had this and loved it for outside time until my son was around 13 months! It’s ridiculously easy to set up and take down. We had the full canopy instead of the half canopy, so I don’t know how the sun protection will be for the one you posted, but ours worked really well. It’s sturdy, but once your baby starts walking/climbing it’s not very effective at keeping them contained.

We have one without the canopy and used it all the time outside.  Sturdy and easy to set up.  I usually set it up in the grass and stick a blanket an old blanket under it for more padding.

We have one and we like it. But the bottom isn’t cushioned. We have hard wood floors and need to place a blanket or something underneath. It’s easy to clean and we flip it upside down outside to have a cover over ours with him sitting on a towel or light blanket. Perfect for the beach. My son is 6 months.
