My dog Max died the night before yesterday while I was away and I came home to him laying dead on the porch after riggamortis had already set in. He was like my child I have had him since he was 6 weeks old and he was only a year and a half old. He got really sick 4 days ago, wouldn't eat, drink and was getting lock jaw I had to force feed him and water him & left for a couple hours and by the time I got home he was gone. I have been very depressed and every time I hear the name Max or see his picture I cry. I am going to get a tattoo for him when I get enough money for it. How many of you have felt this way about a family pet? Would you do what I am doing? How did you cope?​​​
