Went in at 36 weeks for finial growth scan got told he had grown but went from the bigger range to above the smaller range just. Had more scans and a doppler done on my placenta which ment it was aging faster than most (quite common in type one diabetics )

Said I need to come back to be induced lol yip her words were go home pack your hospital bag and get your life sorted see you in an hour two max, ha talk about freak out I haven't got my life together in 28 years an hour was just not enough

I got to the hospital around 3 pm Monday didn't begin the induction till 2 am tue morning (yeh random time) after 24 hours (wed 2am) nothing much had changed in my cervix so the did a 2nd attempt with the tablet thingy

Oh goodie with all the cramps and pressure I was pretty over it

Finally Thurs lunch time they checked and I had gone to 4 cm baby well down etc

(Being diabetic I had to get tested every hour on my suger levels so had done no sleep since Mon 3 pm

Friday at 7 am they checked me again this time 8 cm and she broke my water all I can say is what a relief knowing they only could keep me going 24 hours max

Also when the fun started constant pressure etc up until that point I had only done a patheden shot some time on Wed and then nos (I love nos )

I got to 10 cm and it was time to push after an hour of that I begged for the epi 😊

The crowning hurt so much

I had the thing where baby had pooped in me so they had to sort that out first and then my lil man had the cord around his neck twice so the had to deal with that after it was pretty scary

I had to have the suction cup and a snip so I didn't tear but he got here safely 😊

On a side not terrified I would poop on the table in front of my partner haha well I managed to do that while on the toilet in the middle of a contraction no dignity here lol

All and all was a good experience bit long winded but we made it
