Rhogam?

Okay ladies... I was spotting for 5 days... went to the ER and they confirmed that I was miscarrying... they gave me the Rhogam shot after my miscarriage... was I supposed to get it before or after the miscarriage??

I had mine 2 days after the miscarriage. It's precautionary incase you were exposed to the fetus's blood which may have been rh+

L&D nurse here : Rhogam is given at 28weeks, after birth and during any episode of bleeding. 
Rhogahm is not necessary for your first pregnancy, because your Body has never been pregnant- therefore never had to built the antibodies that attack the pregnancy.

They give you the shot early if your pregnant and bleeding at all. Once you have the miscarriage they have 72 hours to give it to you then. This happened to me twice, the first time I got it before my d&c. My second time I didn’t have a d&c but got the shot as my numbers were falling.
