Low dose birth control pills

I just learned that there are both high and low dose birth control options. I have no idea which one I’ve had. I have a feeling it was a high dose because I had terrible mood changes and I gained quite a bit of weight. My periods were a bit longer as well. I really don’t want to go through that again now that I am 4 weeks postpartum. I just wonder, if anyone knows if low dose doesn’t effect your mood at least? I read that it doesn’t cause side effects as much as high dose, but nothing about mood swings (they listed some side effects). If anyone could please share their thoughts, please do! I would really appreciate it. My 6 week check up is coming up and I want to be prepared to talk to her about birth control options
