If you started dilating early with your first (like 2-3 weeks before the birth), did you dilate slowly for weeks in advance with your second?

From 34 wks to 38wks I dilated 1cm a week and then went into labor at 38wks delivered at 38wk 1 day

I started dilating 3-4 weeks ahead of my due day with my first and was at 3 cm for a least a week or two before my water broke 10 days early. Now with my second, 38weeks 2 days and maaaybe 1 cm... hoping this doesn’t mean she’s going to be late!

I never dilated early with my first and with my second I only dilated to a 1 and that was around 40 weeks

My body was the slowest!!!!
I walked around at a 5 for a week.  My dr was on vacation so the dr I saw checked, did this 😳, gave a sweep and said he would be seeing me in the next 24 hours....nope.
The good news is when you dilate a lot ahead of painful labor, labor tends to go very fast.

Interesting question. I was 3cm dialed for at least a week with my first. We'll see what happens this time. Or maybe not because I will probably have a more natural hands off approach this time.
