7w but baby measuring small - IVF

Stephanie

Hi everyone! My husband and I have done

<a href="https://glowing.com/glow-fertility-program">IVF</a>

, this is our second round. Our last pregnancy, everything was progressing fine except a droplet of blood was found above the yolk sack at my 7 week sonogram. But baby girl stopped growing at 8w5d and I had to have a D&C. This was in Sept. 2018.

Anyways, here we are pregnant with baby #2 and today I had my 7 week sonogram. I know that I should be 7 weeks based on the embryo transfer we had on May 22. But, baby boy is measuring at 6 weeks 2 days and the heart rate is 119 bpm. Our

doctor said that in most cases like this the baby will eventually stop growing and result in a miscarriage but that sometimes on the next sonogram everything will be progressing as normal. I go back in a week to recheck, hopefully baby boy will have grown a week's worth. I can't bare to lose him!

I am a healthy 30 year old and I've had all the testing done to see why I keep having miscarriages, and there's no root cause. I've had one normal pregnancy that went full term in 2006- my son is now 13.

Just wondering if this has happened to anyone and what your outcome was? I'm trying not to worry, but I really don't want to lose another baby.  It's especially more heartbreaking when going through

, you are just more emotionally, physically, and monetarily invested.

I'd love to hear your experiences!
