How much hair is supposed to be....down there?

So, the other day I was at a sleepover with friends. Everyone was changing into PJs and we’re all super close so we just change with the others in the room. Well, I couldn’t help but notice that they all have a lot less hair down there. Like they up front, but none on their vulva. Am I not supposed to have any their? Is it unhygienic that I do? I mean, I trim it pretty regularly. But I didn’t really notice that there could be anything wrong with it.
