Flea repellent for dogs?

Hey ladies random question but what flea and tick repellent do you use for your fur babies?? I have a small 5 pound Yorkie that I can't seem to rid fleas of! I am debating on frontline plus or k9 advantix II. Any advice or input would be highly appreciated. :)

Frontline and K9 Advantix are no longer veterinary prescribed (you can get them over the counter). They don't tend to work as well anymore so vets have stopped prescribing them. If you really want to get rid of them you need to go to the vet and get something prescribed.

Buy a powder form for your carpet as well. Apply it at night and vacuum it up in the morning.

Bathe her with the blue dawn. Ask your vet about flea pills that are given once a month. The flea collars and the things you put on their skin can cause chemical burns.

We have 3 cats and we used Frontline after we gave them a flea bath (THAT was fun 😒lol). It worked fairly quick too. We've been flea free for over a year after battling them for like 3 months. Once we took care of the initial infestation (finally learned how to do the house and cats properly), we kept them off with the front line. 🍀

NexGuard!!!!!! Its really the best!!! I have tried everything from frontline to capstar (capsyar only works with my cats) and NexGuard is amazing, K9 gave a really bad allergic reaction to one of my shih tzus and never worked formy pitbull and shephard. I cannot live without this, seriously, no more fleas or ticks, i love cuz its a chewable medication, beef flavored like the heartguard ones and since its not on the skin, I don't have to keep my kids and cats away from the dogs!!

I have three dogs, a chihuahua, papillon and Chinese crested. We've been battling fleas over a month now. Frontline, flea shampoos, flea bombs, sprays, no luck with any products yet. The only relief they have had has been dawn dish soap- a five minute bath in water mixed in dawn seems to kill the adult fleas on them and gives them a few hours of relief. Best of luck to you, I hope we both cure this soon!
