Are My Post Abortion Symptoms Normal?
I received a surgical abortion 3 days ago for reasons of my own. The first day post abortion I had mild cramping and spotting here and there of old blood. The second day, I woke up with an excuciating headache and lower back pain that did not subside for nearly 7 hours. I had a fever that gradual increased throughout the day and horrible chills/cold sweats, but hardly any spotting at all. I was advised by the doctor at the office where I had the procedure (because of the fever) to go to the hospital so they can ensure that there were no signs of infections or incomplete abortion. Everything checked out fine and I was discharged with some medicine for pain relief and fever reduction. So far today, my temperature has been normal, but the cramps are the worst and more frequent than they have been since the procedure and I'm now passing fresh blood and blood clots. I really don't want to go to the doctors or hospital again just to be told this is normal so I'm asking if anyone has experienced this before or knows someone who has? Any advice/information is greatly appreciated.
