Red bleeding no cramps

I am 6 weeks and I felt something so I ran to the bathroom and there was red blood. I am not cramping, no backache, nothing. I have been in a wedding today so I have been going non stop. Needless to say I am on my way home now. I know I need to call the dr. But I just want to see if this has ever happened to anyone and things be ok.
