Any hair products or ingredients to avoid while pregnant ?

I’m black and wanting to texturize my short hair. Was wondering if it’s safe during pregnancy.

(I stopped relaxing my hair during the whole pregnancy and went with braids, so not sure how to advise here)

How far along are you? I did a relaxer when I was in my 2nd trimester. I made sure to double up on gloves & use a mask to avoid fumes though

From what my doctor said, the first trimester is an organic period - don’t remember her exact wording, but she said the 1st trimester is a time not to use chemicals or do anything that could potentially cause harm. She recommended I wait to do any bleaching or hair maintenance until the 2nd trimester. I’m not sure if bleach would be similar to texturizing or not?
