Diapers?

Question

Everyone keeps sayin to start stocking up on diapers now but how do I know around how much of each size to buy?? I have no idea how fast babies grow out of a size or how many boxes they go thru . Any insight helps thanks

I found this on Pinterest and followed it with my first. It was pretty accurate. I plan to do it with this baby too. We only ended having to buy more newborn because we had a preemie. But otherwise we didn't buy any diapers in the first year.

I didn't. I bought a huge package if Huggies and they didn't fit her quite right. It felt like an eternity to get through the box and switch to pampers. No matter which brands you choose, you may have to try others until you find the best fit for your baby. Then you can think about sticking up lol!

It varies by kid but you can always exchange them for the next size up. Keep your receipts. My son was born at 6"2oz he was in newborn for about 6 weeks. Size one fit fine but they were huge on him. Size 1 about 3 months, size 2 lasted a bit longer closer to 5/6 months and size three forever. Over 6 months. He weighs 27 lbs now and is using size 4. Closer to 9 months in this size I think.

But my son is on the skinny side. My friends kid is 18 months and already in size 5! Chunky thighs. So my point is if on sale get it, keep receipt. If you use it great is not go get next size up.
