Tailbone hurting??

I am 19 weeks pregnant now and for the past week my tailbone has been hurting and aching, no matter if i sit on a soft cushion or hard chair. Anyone else experience this? Is it normal??

I started experiencing this pain around my 12 week mark. I work in an office sitting at a desk all day and it kills sometimes! It’s gotten slightly better since then but hasn’t fully gone away. My Dr said it’s totally normal. The position of your uterus could be putting pressure on your tailbone and causing the pain.

My tailbone hurting is probably the only pregnancy symptom I’ve had. I’ll be 20 weeks on Tuesday. Sometimes it’s really sore, other days it’s ok. Don’t know why 🤷🏽‍♀️

Mine is agony, have been seeing chiropractor weekly and still in awful pain. I bought a cushion with a cut out for the coccyx, that helps a bit....also a cushion between my knees while sleeping.... my usual go to would be a heat pack but chiropractor said if it’s inflamed heat will just make it worse ☹️ she suggested short spells of cool pack....hope you get some relief, let me know if you find anything that helps.

During the second half of my second pregnancy I was fighting tailbone pain off and on. I actually found mine was irritated by walking long periods of time, especially if my posture wasn’t great while walking, ie. pushing a stroller. I’ve found that exaggerating my movements while walking with a stroller (like big exaggerated steps) helped keep some of the pain at bay.
If yours is caused by prolonged sitting, definitely get a coccyx cushion, and try to remember to keep your legs uncrossed. It’s better for your hips and joints to keep your legs straight rather than crossing them.

I was getting the same thing only to find a bump as big as a mosquito bite on my tail bone. Every time I would touch it it hurt badly. I found out it's called a pilonidal cyst. Not sure if it's the same thing but hope your pain goes away soon.
