So, I wanted to come here and ask before I made a doctor appointment.

I have never had a regular period, until I had the Skyla IUD inserted. It still isn’t quite regular, but now I have one a month, usually the same time or if it moves around, it’s usually a gradual change. (It used to be all over the place).

Ever since I had the Skyla put in, I noticed that I could “feel” ovulation. Around a week and a half or two weeks after my period would end, I could feel period like cramps, that would only last a day or two. I figured it was just ovulation.

I have been off my period for a week now, and have not stopped cramping on my right side. It feels like a sharp pain that comes and goes throughout the day. Because of how soon it is after my period, and the fact that it’s been like that since my period, I don’t believe it’s ovulation.

Has anyone had anything like this happen? I try not to go to the doctor if I can help it, but am on the edge of being concerned.
