Lack of sex

I've been with my girlfriend for almost 6 years now and since the 2 year when we moved in together the sex started to die down. Now for about 3 years we have sex every 6 months because she claims it is not her priority and that she has no interest. I tried talking to her about it and it doesn't help. Has anyone gone through the same situation? If yes, what steps did you take to reverse the situation?
