The things we go through.

I’m currently 9 weeks and 5 days pregnant. I had a twin miscarriage in December at 8 weeks. We are over the moon we have made it this far!

Hyperemesis was an issue for my mom and sister. They had to go to the hospital, at most, twice for fluids and iv meds. Both pregnancies I have been MISERABLE. This pregnancy I have been admitted to the hospitals for at least 2.5 weeks total.

I lost 20 pounds in 3 weeks. We could not figure out why I had it so much worse. My doctor basically described it as some woman are “allergic” to the hormones that come with pregnancy.

I was transferred by ambulance to a bigger hospital on Thursday and had to have a feeding tube put in past my stomach. They had to do it 4 times to get it where it needed to be. The discomfort was maxed out at this point.

Now I have to find the confidence to walk around and continue life with this feeding tube. I’m connected 24/7. I feel silly, unattractive, and completely beat. It is all worth it to have one healthy baby to bring home.

Anyone else experience a feeding tube or severe hyperemesis? They don’t know how long I will have the tube. Could be a few weeks or the whole pregnancy.😳

Last night I decided to take one “decent” picture with it in. My mom is trying to encourage me to see the bright side and keep these memories and I’m going to try and do just that!

Sorry for the long post. ❤️
