Is it normal for my periods to be really long on the hormonal IUD? I just got it on May 9 and that period was thirteen days, and I’m going on the fifteenth day of my period for the second month on it. The periods are extremely light—I literally only need one panty liner a day—but I’d rather have a heavy period that ends in five days then a light one for two fricking weeks! I was using the NuvaRing before the IUD and I skipped my periods with it, and it’s been so long since I’ve had a period that I’m not sure if this is just how it was for me before or if this will go away in a few months!
