I was just thinking back to several years ago. I was looking at my medical history when I was switching OB GYNs.

Several years ago, my lips were chapped. I had a bad habit of pulling the skin off. Well, in the center bottom of my top lip, I pulled off a bit too much, and it got super infected. My entire lip swelled up. I went to this walk in family care center. They said it was a cold sore. (Didn’t do any tests, just assumed) They wanted me to buy this super expensive cream. I didn’t. I used some over the counter antibiotic ointment and a bit of peroxide and it healed up. But now in my medical history, it says I have herpes.
