Got Milk?

I'm 3 days pp and no milk yet...any suggestions? I'm nervous it won't come in and I won't get to breastfeed.

Takes 3-5 days to come in. Mine came in the 4th day. He cluster fed the night before which was horrible but helped my milk come in. So I guess the more u feed the baby the more it stimulates the nipple.

How can you tell when it has come in? I know in the hospital I was making tons of colostrum.

It took almost 5 days to come in with my first...probably because I ended up with a csection. Hang in there, it will come!

Pump/feed for at least 15-20 mins every three hours til it comes in

Drink lots of water. Breast milk usually comes in between day 3-5. It can take longer if your labor was traumatic. I hemoraged after my twins birth and it took 8 days for my milk to come in. With my four singles it came around day 3.

Oh don't worry it's coming! Mine came in a rage about 4-5 days after birth
