Haaka

Emma

I may have spelled that wrong....?

I don’t know anything about breast feeding, except that I want to do it if possible 🤷🏼‍♀️ I signed up for a class at my hospital, which was cancelled, and they won’t hold another until after baby comes, so I’m just trying to research on my own.

I have a normal breast pump that my insurance covered - which I have no idea how to use. But that’s a question for another day. Lol

But I also registered for a haaka, simply because I have read rave reviews on it.

My question is this- what, exactly is the haaka used for? I get mamas use it for “let down” on the unoccupied breast while feeding baby, does that mean you literally put it there and it catches flow? Do you have to “pump” it? I’m sorry I know I sound so dumb. I’d like to be able to utilize it in its BEST way possible, since my bf will be off work for 3 weeks himself, and we have family across the street, so I would like to have breast milk set aside and saved, so I can try to take naps and utilize my help for feeds, when need be.

Help this confused mama- please !!
