Should i keep the crush or get over him?

So this boy and I have been talking since the end of school. His name is Adrien. I kinda knew him before school ended but not as much as I knew other people. We text everyday then I developed a crush for him and I already know he doesn't like me because in messages where my friend quized him to see if he was a good kid for me he said he doesn't want a relationship and that he doesn't know enough about me to date or know if he likes me or not. But when him and I talk about school we start talking about dating and stuff and thats usually around the time I get over the crush but talking about dating with him brings it back. Any advice for getting over a crush for good or until school starts again? Or should I let the crush happen and see what happens when school starts?
