Potty trainning??

April 18 mamas i need help my son is starting to take his diaper off so i figured time to potty train but i have no clue how i need help

Honestly, I think it may be too early to think about potty training. Most kids don’t understand the concept until at least 18 months and the average age of potty training is 2-3 years. Trying to take off their diaper isn’t necessarily a sign that they’re ready and trying to do it too soon can make it harder when they are actually ready.

Definitely not to early to get him used to the potty! I just found out I’m pregnant with #3 so I’m going to start potty training very soon to. I had my eldest out of nappys around 18 months. Just positive encouragement and persistence! Take him to the toilet with you every time you go and sit him on the potty ☺️

I agree, a little too early still. My daughter trained right around 18 months easily, but she understood and could communicate her needs. My son takes off his diaper now at 14 months just to experiment and cause me grief.

Definitely not too early. We started potty “learning” by allowing my LO to explore and play with her potty chair to get used to it and comfortable with it. Then she began watching me when I would use the toilet, and she would mimic me on her own potty. It just became routine to sit and go every morning she wakes up and after naps. We all have to go, so giving her the opportunity to just go with us was a great way for her to learn at her own pace. Good luck!!

I’m starting to do that myself! Just got her a potty, I think if we expose them to it early they will get it fast when they hit 18 months. My daughter was born April 4th. I just let her run around naked and try to get her on the toilet when she starts to pee and then celebrate.

My son is going #2 I have to ask often if he has to go and I sit him on his toilet and he does go . You can definitely start.

I think it’s too early. You can always buy a little potty and have him sit in it when you have to go.
