Do I get an IUD?

Hi, I started having sex recently and I have been using condoms, but I want another form of BC. I use to use the pill, I tried 3 different types, but they all sucked and I had every bad side effect possible. I’m considering getting an IUD, and I was hoping that I could get some advice/feedback/anything?
