My derm. Just told me this and prescribed something else (fanisha) instead...

I've read that benzoyl peroxide is not harmful in the amounts that are generally used, such as 2% and 5%. You would have to use a lot at a more concentrated level for your skin to absorb it and have an effect on your unborn baby.

My OB prescribed me a benzoyl peroxide topical cram so I don't think it's harmful

It's the Salicylic acid not the benzoyl stuff. But that's what she said. I used it for like 2 weeks before I heard.
