Biopsy?

Question

Has anyone  had a breast  biopsy?  My Dr  just found  a lump. Really scared  and I'm already  thinking  the worst.

I had a biopsy done on my thyroid (un my neck) and I was terrified. It really wasn't all that bad. They numb the area really well and afterwards it only hurt for a couple hours and then it was fine. Don't get all worked up over it, it'll be just fine. They're much less scary than you think.

Yeah I did one back in 09. It was an ultrasound guided breast biopsy of on my right breast for a lump I found. They did only local anesthetic so I was awake for the whole thing which made me nervous. The Dr performing the procedure was really good up until he accidentally took a chunk of skin with the sucker. Didn't feel a thing up until the last stitch. They removed the lump and the testing came back benign.

I have had a few. Since high school I have always had cysts and when they don't go away I usually have an ultrasound and biopsy. It's super easy just make sure you have s good tight fitting bra after for support. It helps a ton!

Better to test early and know what is going on. Did they do an MRI to see if there is blood flow or an ultrasound first? Best wishes to you!
