Vitamin D and miscarriage

Amanda
Hi, I'm going though my third miscarriage this year. I'm healthy, eat fairly well, don't smoke, drink, drugs, etc., and do moderate exercise (although this current pregnancy killed that for me due to fatigue!).
My doc is going to run a panel on me. My pregnancies start out great with all the expected symptoms and development then kind of just stop. I really am looking forward to the panel, but it doesn't test vitamin levels and my doc doesn't think they are relevant.
Well, I tried to think of any abnormal medical items in my history. Like I said, very healthy! But, my doc did notice I was deficient (lower than "low") in vitamin D several years ago and put me on prescription D in order to bring me back into normal range. I'm going to see if my primary will test me.
I've found scientific literature, multiple recent studies, linking low D to miscarriage, pregnancy issues, hormone issues, uterine long development, and it decreases inflammatory response, which is needed during pregnancy. I'm a scientist, so I trust science. Not sure how to broach with my doc yet. Docs are awesome, but not all keep up with research.
Anyone out there with any personal experience or advice? Thanks!
