Breast Refusal

So I nursed my daughter for 14mos and never had this issue with her. I’m at a loss as to what the issue is.

My son, on the other hand absolutely hates the breast. Why??? I never knew a baby to act like you’re killing them to try to put a boob in their face. He’s gaining weight but hardly. He was 91% at birth now he’s at 46% at 2 months old.

He absolutely hates it. Over 50% of the time when I try to nurse him he gets panicky just when I sit down and get him into the position even like he knows what’s coming. When he does nurse it’s only for 5min or less, and only ever 1 side. I will literally have milk dripping out of my boob all over my shirt with his mouth wide open on my breast with him refusing to latch while he screams. Then when he does it’s great for about 3-5min. Then he freaks out more and refuses to nurse any longer. He’s gone hours and hours before without nursing. I sometimes have to pump because my boobs are about to explode. And he’ll go another 1-2hrs before he finally eats. What the hell???

This is so foreign to me. My daughter would nurse like every 2-3hrs about 10-20min both sides every time.

I’m currently even trying to nurse him for bed. He’s in a sleep sack. It’s 930pm. He hasn’t nursed since 715pm and he’s absolutely refusing screaming bloody murder. And this happens at least 2-3x a day. Other times he’ll nurse fine but it’s short. I don’t know what to do to get him to nurse. It breaks my heart cause it looks like I’m torturing him with a boob 😩

Will he ever just nurse normal and happily??? I just kept saying it’s cause he’s 3 weeks or 5 weeks. Or he is overtired. Well now he’s 2 months and it’s no matter if he’s tired or just woke up from a 2hr nap. Today he did it at 330pm after he slept 1230-330 🤷🏻‍♀️
