New to tracking ovulation

Can someone give me a basic run down on OPK’s? This is my first month using them.

When I get my first positive, does that mean I’ll ovulate 12-36 hours from then? Or if I get positives the next day or the day after do I count it from those positives? I just want to know when to start my DPO
