GPS on your spouse/family?

I used to have gps on my husbands phone, due to a lot of issues he was dealing with so it was for safety reasons, since he’s been better I deleted it and haven’t had it for a good year and a half! 
Just got me thinking because someone showed me their gps app they have for sprint

My husband and i do it.
We live way out in the boonies and don't always have a signal.  We do it in case of emergency so we can find the other if they don't have service (husband used to commute 200 miles a day, also). 
We also use it to see how close the other is to home so we  don't have to call and ask "Did you leave town yet?!" When we need the other to pick up something..
We don't do it for a lack of trust. It's just  useful tool for us.

We have each other on find friends lol. Not because one of use would be somewhere we aren’t supposed to be, but for safety reasons. Living in a different country than our home country, it’s easy to get lost or if something happens, I can send him an SOS text and he’d know exactly where I am.

I have “find my friends” on my iPhone, do I think it’s an Apple thing.... 
Me and my boyfriend have each other on that, and I have people like my mum, siblings, my best friend. 
It’s nothing to do with trust, I’ve always viewed it as a safety thing. So if something happened to me or them, they’d know where I was. 
It’s also quite handy, to know when they’re on the way home or somewhere without having to ask 😆

My SO and i are both on the Find my IPhone app but not because of lack of trust. Usually i only check it to see how far away from home he is after work because i know he can’t text or call while driving. He tells me he usually checks it to make sure i arrive somewhere safely because i always forget to text him and let him know i got home/ wherever i was safely lmao. We didn’t go out of our way to get on the app either, since we share an Apple ID we were both automatically on there and came across it one day and thought it was cool lol.

Fuck no. He’s an adult who I trust. There is absolutely no reason to be tracking his location on a day to day basis. I have shared locations with friends before when I was driving to their houses so they would know when I would get there, but location gets turned off as soon as I’m there

When I go out alone or my husband does we always turn on find a friend or whatever that is. Not because of trust issues but safety issues, if needed in emergencies it’s easier for one of us to check and get the others location if needed

I have find my friends on with my whole family; parents, sister, and husband, and many of my friends. It’s just convenient. I use it for my husband to how far he from home, so my daughter and I can go for a daily little walk and meet him at the corner. My parents constantly travel now that they’re semi retired, and it’s nice with my sister because with our parents often out of town, I can keep tabs on her since she’s 22.
With friends, when we’re meeting up, it’s nice to know when to actually expect them

We have it. I have a long commute to work over a mountain pass and it gives him comfort knowing I made it. I guess I’m just not as obsessed with privacy as some people because I don’t really care if my husband can track me. It doesn’t bother me and it doesn’t bother him that I can do the same with him. I just don’t think it’s a big deal.

I don’t see anything wrong with having gps on everyone in the family. I mean, it really can save lives. I just don’t think you should take advantage of it, as in using it to constantly spy on your family, or your spouse. But like if you’re worried that someone you love might be in danger, or they may have had an accident or something, by all means! Just don’t use it to spy on them. If you have that little trust in them, you might as well throw in the towel. Why be with someone you don’t trust? I personally don’t have it though. I tell my husband where I’m going and he tells me where he’s going so I usually know where he is and he usually knows where I am so if there’s any problem, or if anything happens, we can call the police and give them each other’s last known whereabouts.
