When did you start exercising after a c section?

I am approaching 7 weeks pp from a scheduled c section. I called my oh a few days ago with this same question.  They told me to wait until 8 weeks and slowly begin exercising and gradually increase... I feel great. No pain at all.  I plan on starting to run a mile slow pace when I hit the 8 week mark.  They also did not recommend heavy lifting just yet.

Probably a few months. Even after the doctor clears you, you may still feel sore. I wasn’t feeling sore anymore and then I tried exercising and it hurt. Definitely take it easy and slow at first. 
Also please don’t try it until you at least get cleared from your doctor. You can really hurt yourself.

I waited 8mo but I’d say by month 3 pp I was 100% back to normal (no weird belly twinges)
