Sex during third trimester (38 weeks)

My husband and I had sexual intercourse a couple days ago and when I got into doggy style position everything was fine and felt great.

This morning we tried the same thing again but it was way to uncomfortable for me and he even mentioned he could feel I was tighter and couldnt penetrate as deep. Just wondering what this might be or what might cause this as I didnt experience any contractions.
