Fighting about will.

I just got done writing my will because I have a child and want to be able to say where he is placed if something were to happen to me. I put down his father( my boyfriend) as obviously the first but if he were to die or whatever my sister would get our son and if she would decline my mother would get him. My boyfriend is mad because he wants his family to get him. Honestly if things were different in his mom and dads life I would have put them down but his father is a drunk and has no money and can barely take care of the kid he has and his mother also has no money. My family at least has money and would give my son the best life possible. It is what is going to be best for our child and not because I’m picking my family over his. I want my child to have nice things and not have to feel unloved. My boyfriends family never makes time out of their life to come see our son. If they ever want to see him we have to drive to them. With my family they ask to do things all the time and to babysit and buys him things. They drive the hour trip to come see us. I just think it’s a better option for our child. What do you guys think? (The will hasn’t been notarized yet)
