How do I know if I’m in love?😳❤️

If I think I love someone how do I know for sure if I am?!? I told my boyfriend I loved him but people say love is a powerful word and I’m so confused with teen relationships because this is my first one and I feel happy and safe and loved with my boyfriend and whenever he says he loves me I just put “❤️” or smile and I just want to make sure I love him. I think I do but I want to be sure.
