What DOES FIBROID MEAN?! HELP!!!!!!

So I just off the phone with a nurse and she was relating a msg from my Dr regarding my ultrasound I had in the past month. Apparently I have a 1.2 cm fibroid on my uterus. And that my ovaries are normal. I asked her what it meant and she didn’t bother to ask answer. Do any of you ladies know what this means please!!!!

*i have them as well except I have 3 two of them are 5cm and one is 3cm I’m going to have surgery next month to get them remove.
