On birth control trying to get pregnant???

Has anyone been on birth control " nuva ring" and the week you remove it try to get pregnant.  This is the suggestion from my doctor being I had side affects from being off from the two months. PLEASSS HELP

Does he mean use it to get your period regular and then try?  I don’t understand how you’d get pregnant just trying the week you don’t insert the ring (which would trigger your period).
