When would you announce?

I am 4w4d and have known for almost a week. We plan to announce to family this weekend (this is our 1st) and then slowly tell others...our first dr appt isnt until july 30th and we dont know that we can wait to tell people.

I let it leak and it was a lot of fun. 
And then we miscarried at 11 weeks. 
It was torture having to tell everyone. 
But because everyone knew, we had even more love and support. 
Next time I’ll wait until 13 weeks. But there’s nothing wrong with living in the moment. 
4 weeks is suuuuuuper early though. Can you wait until 8?

My first pregnancy in February I announced as soon as I found out.. sadly ended in a miscarriage at 8 weeks. This pregnancy I waited mostly until my first ultrasound. I only told family and a few friends. Still so nervous... 9 week ultrasound but measured at 7 weeks 1day.  But thankfully there was a heart beat. Congratulations!!! Best of luck to you hun!!!

I’m kinda in the same situation! I’m 5w3d and killing me to tell family but my bf and I say no one day then yes the next we’re super contradicting about it... deep down I’d love to the family to have the support

Depends on you!
Some people announce immediately because they believe that a baby is to be celebrated no mater what happens. However the first trimester is a time of anything can happen... so if you’re the kind of person that doesn’t do well with having to explain if something does goes wrong I would suggest holding off. But really it’s up to you.

I wouldn't mind telling parents and siblings right away but I would wait to tell everyone else until second trimester...but do what you think is best I'm sure everything will be fine.

I’m my culture telling people before 3 months is bad luck. I’m in my second pregnancy currently 20 weeks only close family knows ( people who see me all the time) about 10 or less people.

i didn’t know i was pregnant until 8 weeks.
didn’t start telling people until 12 weeks. and forget an announcement, if i saw you, my bump told you.
people are weird, creepy, hateful and judgmental.

We told our parents right away with the first one and our siblings. My husband couldn’t keep a secret and told the fb world (his family lives in another country) around 8 weeks although we had planned to wait until 13 weeks. 
With this one we had some bumps along the road so we decided to wait until at least 12 weeks before we announced publicly (other than family). I’ll be 14 weeks tomorrow. It just depends on the couple. Do what’s right for you.

I would wait. I have mixed feelings because Kaiser told me that I have to wait till I’m 6 weeks for them to detect the pregnancy.I am currently 4 weeks also and it’s sooo hard keeping it a secret. But i want to wait till I get my 1st ultrasound. Only my bff currently knows 🙊 .
